For standardization of procedures and maintenance of internationally acclaimed quality vaccines produced in the Institute, the Quality Control Section was upgraded in 2001 to a full fledged department. It is charged with the responsibility of conducting quality checks in collaboration with the staff of various production units including the Biochemistry laboratory; also to monitor the potency of the vaccines held at the various storage stations throughout the federation.
