Bioinformatician Position

The National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI), Vom and Friedrich Loeffler Institute (FLI), Germany, under the project titled “Nigeria Engaging One Health” (NEOH) - Phase II  has an opening for a consultancy within the project for bioinformatician in Vom, Plateau State Nigeria.

This position suits recent holder of PhD with career interest in Bioinformatics (a background in veterinary medicine/microbiology/zoology will be of advantage). The position will be fully funded for 12 months including salary with possibility of extension.

NVRI offers interdisciplinary research environment and the post-holder will conduct computational analysis of genomic data, use various equipment for sequencing and bioinformatic.

The ideal candidate should combine experience and interests in genomics, molecular evolution. The post-holder will also be expected to contribute to other genomic epidemiology projects such as whole genome sequencing and metagenomics.
