Visit of A delegation from Toro District in Bauchi State

A delegation from Toro District in Bauchi State led by Alhaji Umar Adamu Toro (Hakimin Gidan Toro) paid a courtesy visit to NVRI.Vom and they were received by the Director/Chief Executive, Dr. (Mrs) Maryam Muhammad.

Alhaji Umar Adamu Toro, while speaking, stated that the essence of the visit was to congratulate the D/CE on her recent appointment and to appreciate the amicable relationship between the institute and Toro district since his ascendancy as the district head about a year ago. He appreciated the immense programmes anchored by the institute in Toro on livestock practices with a huge impact on the community.

Alhaji Umar Adamu Toro, also appealed to the institute to continue its extension programme via radio (A leka Rugage) which has been educative to livestock farmers.

In her response, the D/CE Dr. (Mrs) Maryam Muhammad thanked the delegates for their visit and promised to reintroduce the radio programmes and to build on the existing partnership as the institute approaches its centennial. She also pledged to extend her support in training women in local poultry and other World Bank Projects.
